August 2026 Meeting and Show Table

The drought continues and we weren’t sure what members would be able to bring to the Show Table this month – but they came up trumps with extraordinary vegetables, beautiful posies and healthy specimen plants.

Pat’s glorious display of Dahlias and Amaranthus won ‘Best on the Table’, with its gorgeous combination of warm hues, and she was awarded her winner’s voucher by Sir Nicolas Bevan.

The plant sales table was heaving with interesting plants to buy, and we were delighted to welcome Selina Ozanne, Head Gardener at The Exchange, Erith, to give a talk about this small but exquisite garden.
