The society meets monthly at Charlton House. The meetings are friendly gatherings, with refreshments and a raffle. Normally there is either a Talk, a Show or a Members evening (see Programme of events). Members can bring in plants and flowers that are performing well in their own gardens to be displayed on the informal Show Table.

AGM 2017

In February 2017 we held our annual AGM and Bring and Buy Stall. Also, at this meeting, the show table cup was presented. Each month members bring in flowers to display on our Show Table. Points are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Our photograph shows Jane, this year’s winner. This is the 15th time her name appears on the cup!

Our long-serving chairman, Jillian Smith, retired this year, after serving as chairman for 18 years and as vice-chairman for 9 years.

What’s in flower in your garden? January 2017

Well we had an amazing response to this, so many people brought in a flowering sprig that we almost ran out of space on the piano! What you can’t tell from the picture below is the SCENT, it was lovely. I rather think we have better flowers than the Chelsea Physic Garden :-).
