Plant Sale – May 2026

We had another brilliant and successful day in the Charlton House Peace Garden on Sunday. We were so happy, after all these weeks of tending our plant babies, to see them go off to loving new homes!

Crowds in the Peace Garden

Thank you to everyone who grew the plants, helped to sell them (all 43 of you!), bought them, or just came along to enjoy the day.

Setting up the stalls
Setting up the stalls, all calm!

Funds from the CABAHS stalls will be donated to the Community Hospice and funds from the Garden Volunteer stalls will be used by Head Gardener Jason of Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust to keep reviving the beautiful gardens.

An amateur Tree Trail, featuring 12 trees in the Charlton House grounds, was launched on Sunday and seemed to go down well with those who tried it. On reflection, it wasn’t the best time to launch it as most folks had their hands full of plants! But we hope to get it off the ground properly in the near future.

We were joined by other stalls (including our friends at the WI cakes) on the back lawn and in the Old Library, and Frilly’s was open for drinks and their fun flowery cakes.

There were also so many cute visitors, not sure if it was a Plant Sale or a Dog Show!

Hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did, good luck with the plants!

Next sale – Horn Fair, October 18th
