Spring Show 2026 – classes to enter

The CABAHS Spring Show will take place on Monday 20 April 2026 and classes will be judged by John Hughes. Here’s a reminder of last year’s efforts!

The classes you can enter this year are shown below, please have a go at as many as you like!

CLASSES:

1. Daffodil/Narcissus – 1 stem
   
2. Tulip – 1 stem
   
3. Flowering shrub – 1 stem
   
4. Foliage – 3 stems differing in shape, colour and texture
   
5. 1 stem of any: Camellia, Rhododendron, Azalea OR Magnolia
   
6. A vase of mixed Spring flowers
   
7. Any pot-grown plant (indoor or outdoor)
   
8. A pot of Spring bulbs
   
9. A pot of Primula or Auricula
   
10. Baking: Chocolate & Beetroot cake (recipe below or use your own)
    
11. Floral display: flowers arranged in a tea cup
    
12. Narcissus ‘Pipit’ competition (from bulbs distributed in October 2025)
    
13. Photograph to show a Display of Plants on a Table (digital only, to be displayed on a screen)
    
14. Wild Card – to include garden-related crafts

NOTES

Everything except the ingredients for Class 10 must be home grown by members.

Please bring your own vases. Water will be available.

Photos for Class 13 should be sent to garden@cabahs.com BY 11.59pm, FRIDAY 17 APRIL as entries will be displayed on a screen at the show.

Remember this is not an RHS show, it’s a competition for fun!
