November 2025 Meeting and Show Table

There was a great turn out for CABAHS’ last meeting of 2025. As usual, there were refreshments (this month featuring mini-stollen and mince pies!), also a plant sales table, a raffle, the Show Table and – the main event – an engaging talk from Dr David Marsh, garden historian and blogger.

Our chairman, Sir Nicolas Bevan, had his work cut out choosing a ‘Best on the Table’ from all the beautiful entries – and how extraordinary to see so many flowers in mid-November. However, the evening was the first really cold one of this winter, so some of these flowers may now have had their last hurrah! Annie’s selection of flowers arranged with the last of the season’s fruit and vegetables was chosen as the winner.

As ever, thanks to those running the signing-in table, the plant sales, the refreshments, the sound facilities and the raffle. There was a special Christmas hamper as first prize in the raffle, won by Linda, along with Hyacinths, Cyclamen and other covetable specimens to be won. Congratulations to all the winners.
